Role Value Proposition:

The Application Maintenance and Support Application Root Cause and Code Remediation team focuses on improving system stability and quality by eliminating chronic and repeat incidents; minimizing their impacts on production systems through effective root cause investigation. The Production Management Consultant is a hands-on software development / lead role responsible for day-to-day activities including the investigation and resolution of problems, analyzing team performance metrics, building relationships and guiding a team to its fullest potential using agile practices, such as Scrum and Kanban.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners and technology teams to align priorities and collaborate on a daily basis
  • Manage transparent and trusted communication of problems tickets with stakeholders
  • Monitor team performance and effectiveness
  • Perform/approve/validate Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Perform/approve/validate data updates, break-fix coding and/or scripting
  • Perform code reviews, maintain coding and security standards
  • Proactively learn products and code base
  • Facilitate daily standups
  • Protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work
  • Promote continuous improvement to maximize productivity; advise team on operational values, practices and processes
  • Provide business and technical expertise through team brainstorming to address challenges and develop solutions


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4-7+ years of related IT experience
  • 4-7+ years PeopleSoft Financial applications experience including PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQR, App Engine, Integration Broker.
  • 4-7+ years programming in J2EE, Java, JSP, SOAP, Web Services, Java Script, HTML, and XML
  • 4-7+ years with SQL on relational DB’s such as Oracle and IBM UDB
  • Strong verbal and communication skills- self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Must be Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and end-to-end problem-solving skills with ability to lead others
  • Experience working in agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience working with offshore team and vendors



  • ASE, CSM or SSM certified
  • Experience in production support, application development, infrastructure or technology operations
  • Understanding and experience in ITIL framework
  • Understanding of DevOps principles
  • Previous use of monitoring tools, such as AppDynamics
  • Finance/Insurance industry experience
  • Service Now and Jira Experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
